a girl's night out ((Tag victor))

April is not quite sure what to wear right now. She has plans for a "Girl's Night Out" with Victor Allen and Lorne. There is still a big part of her that is uneasy about celebrating, for any reason. But tonight is about finding peace in what she experienced. And bond with someone else who felt the same pain and torment.

She decides on a simply gray dress, with a white boa around the color and pearls in her hair. She PINs to the Nexus, to a place where she is to meet Victor and Lorne. The green skinned demon was more than excited about the new adventure. And he was already awaiting her arrival with a big grin.

"I am terrified about giving birth." April whispers softly. "About something going wrong."

"This child is such a fragile thing that I am carrying."

"I feel like... things'll go alright. You have a medical team that'll go to the ends of the earth for you, I can even have a healer or two standin' by. Nothing bad is gonna happen to you."

[slayers_desire]

"I still feel nervous. Almost sick about it at times..." April paused. "Speaking of which... we should find out why I got sick touching Kryptonite. And if the baby is sensitive to it."

[victormakesart]

"It's totally natural to feel that way. It's okay to be scared. But me and Clark... we'll do everything we can to make you as comfortable as we can. As for the k... it might be, like... some sort of leaking--no, no, that's not the right word, lllltransference, no, that's not right, either. Anyway, what I'm tryin' to say is that it's probably because you're having a half-kryptonian baby, and you're an empath."

"Clark and I are making plans, just in case we run into that bad guy again. The one who started this all. You should be involved."

[victormakesart]

"What do you two have so far?"

[slayers_desire]

"I suggested that Clark has to think outside the box, since they both would have the same powers."

The nice thing about this conversation is that Lorne is so engrossed in the music, that their conversation is virtually private.

"Maybe something that amounts to magical grenades? It looks kinda useless, but if he tosses it over, it does... something."

[slayers_desire]

"Magic would be good. The alternate Clark would be vulnerable to it... but not expect it."

"I could teach you some spells. If you want."

[victormakesart]

"I'd like that. I don't even know if I'd have the ability... magic doesn't exist on my birth-world."

[slayers_desire]

"Then we can work together. I know magic and science can work together. You create the science part... I do the magic. Create some weapons."

[victormakesart]

"That'd be brilliant. And I can read up on books, about the meanings of herbs and symbols, and work on some experimental bits, too."

[slayers_desire]

"I can give you oddles of medicinal herbs." April added with a smile.

[victormakesart]

"I'd like that a lot. Maybe I could even try to have a garden. Or... Jude could have a garden for me."

[slayers_desire]

"I would be happy to help in your garden. It is the wrong season in our world."

[victormakesart]

"I'd like that a lot. It's summer in my world."

Lorne has squeezed out of the booth to go dance for a bit. He starts out being the only one, but soon others join him.

"Clark told me about your alternate." April wasn't sure if this was something Victor wanted to talk about, or not.

((bed time for me))

"I don't know too much about her," she says. "I'm curious. I haven't met too many of my alternates. Well. Each time it was pretty awkward."

"I don't even know if I have one. Or not."

[victormakesart]

"They can be overrated. What was mine like?"

[slayers_desire]

"Clark said she was a darker version of you. If you want to know mroe, you best talk to him about her."

[victormakesart]

"I think I will. Y' know... all of the alternates of mine that I've met have been darker. Maybe that's what I'm supposed to be, and I'm just... not."

[slayers_desire]

"Maybe you are just suppossed to be you. Clark was worried for a while that he might have been that darker version of himself."

[victormakesart]

"I very well could've gone darkside. If I could get a little angrier, if I lashed out at people who hurt me. It's not a huge stretch. I'm okay with that, but it's strange."

"There is a balance that we all make each day. But I think I like you as you are."
