a girl's night out ((Tag victor))
April is not quite sure what to wear right now. She has plans for a "Girl's Night Out" with Victor Allen and Lorne. There is still a big part of her that is uneasy about celebrating, for any reason. But tonight is about finding peace in what she experienced. And bond with someone else who felt the same pain and torment.
She decides on a simply gray dress, with a white boa around the color and pearls in her hair. She PINs to the Nexus, to a place where she is to meet Victor and Lorne. The green skinned demon was more than excited about the new adventure. And he was already awaiting her arrival with a big grin.

April smiled, content to listen herself right now, and allow her voices to get caught up in the music.

"Oh Mary I'm not comin' home too soon. Tell all our babies that daddy has gone to the moon. My feet were sold to this winding road. My feet were sold, baby, long ago."
She shifts, and continues: "Oh Mary I left you a pile of dough. Under the floorboards near Billy-Joel's radio. Baby I love you but there's no chance. Baby I love you but where's romance? Little Rock I'm on my way to San Jose. Driving at ninety an hour the Devil knows me."
"Oh Mary I think of your eyes everyday. If I could see them I surely would not run away. When we were young there was so much time. When I was young there was so much time. Little Rock I'm on my way to San Jose. Driving at ninety an hour the Devil knows me."
It's basically the perfect song for Victor, the runner. Victor, the father, the traveler, before she became Victor the husband, when she needed to run.
(( The song is here if you're curious! It's really a lovely tune.))

"I see the wonderful father you are. And continue to be."
"And that the running you once did, might come in handy again. You must be strong, little songbird. A challenge will come before you."
April watches in amazement.

"Golly, thanks. I'll be sure to be extra careful." Vic's used to challenges. Perhaps she even relaxes a little too infrequently.

April goes over to hug him. "Thanks for coming."
