a girl's night out ((Tag victor))

April is not quite sure what to wear right now. She has plans for a "Girl's Night Out" with Victor Allen and Lorne. There is still a big part of her that is uneasy about celebrating, for any reason. But tonight is about finding peace in what she experienced. And bond with someone else who felt the same pain and torment.

She decides on a simply gray dress, with a white boa around the color and pearls in her hair. She PINs to the Nexus, to a place where she is to meet Victor and Lorne. The green skinned demon was more than excited about the new adventure. And he was already awaiting her arrival with a big grin.

"Yeah. Yeah, kinda like that." She hugs onto a pillow, arms around the cool fabric.

"I felt caged..." And for a vampire, it was difficult. "But I think we are in a good balance now."

[victormakesart]

"Yeah, I wouldn't even know what I'd do if my spouse was pregnant. Probably lock them up with prenatal vitamins, whatever food they wanted, diversionary equipment, and pamper them, but no way would they leave the house."

"Don't ever suggest that to Clark. Seriously."

[victormakesart]

"Pinkie swear, I'll keep it to myself. I think if I knocked James up, anyway, Crane would kill me."

It's a joke. Mostly.

"How did they propose to you?"

[victormakesart]

"With Cole and I, it was just kinda understood. We knew it was gonna happen, we loved each other, and we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. He gave me the ring on the couch, after a patrol. We were both all sweaty and gross, but it was awesome. James asked Cole first if it'd be okay, and he took us both out to eat. There were roses and stuff. And balloons came up outside the window, each one carrying a note, that asked."

"Clark took me out to a restaurant. And when he opened that little black box... I couldn't believe it. I was just so happy."

[victormakesart]

"That's so lovely! It's like a scene out of a movie."

[slayers_desire]

"He kept it from me too." Which is a feat in itself.

[victormakesart]

"Wow! How'd he manage that one!"

[slayers_desire]

"I have taught him some mental blocking techniques."

[victormakesart]

"Niiiice. Mad skills, that!"

[slayers_desire]

"We have to know how to fight each other, just in case."

[victormakesart]

"Absolutely! And you should know how to fight me, but that's easy. Just aim for the legs."

[slayers_desire]

"I am going to have to learn to improvise... I can't touch Kryptonite right now."

[victormakesart]

"I'd shoot for magic, 'cause that's a part of who you are so it won't hurt you."

[slayers_desire]

"That will be my main weapon. If needed." April agrees.

[victormakesart]

"You definitely have backup if you need it."

[slayers_desire]

"Thanks. That means a lot."

April pauses for a moment. "I sometimes get scared when I need help. That it makes me weak."

[victormakesart]

"I... can feel the same way. I used to feel like that a lot. That's not what it means, especially not now. It means you're protecting your baby. Otherwise, it means you're making... what d' you call it... a 'strategic retreat'."

[slayers_desire]

"I miss being a hero." April wipes away a few tears. "But I know that my baby is worth it. Worth everything I must sacrifice."

[victormakesart]

"It's okay. You'll get there again, and you're gonna be a hero in your own way. We couldn't do what we do without you, and you've got assets that no one else has."

[slayers_desire]

April reaches over so she can touch Victor's shoulder, and give it a gently squeeze of thanks. "What would I do without you?"

Her cheeks go the sort of pink you see on strawberry icecream. "Gosh, well."
