April is not quite sure what to wear right now. She has plans for a "Girl's Night Out" with Victor Allen and Lorne. There is still a big part of her that is uneasy about celebrating, for any reason. But tonight is about finding peace in what she experienced. And bond with someone else who felt the same pain and torment.

She decides on a simply gray dress, with a white boa around the color and pearls in her hair. She PINs to the Nexus, to a place where she is to meet Victor and Lorne. The green skinned demon was more than excited about the new adventure. And he was already awaiting her arrival with a big grin.

"Maybe you are just suppossed to be you. Clark was worried for a while that he might have been that darker version of himself."

"I very well could've gone darkside. If I could get a little angrier, if I lashed out at people who hurt me. It's not a huge stretch. I'm okay with that, but it's strange."

"There is a balance that we all make each day. But I think I like you as you are."

"Yeah, I agree. I ever tell you that I walked in on one of my alternates sleepin' with my boyfriend at the time? I turned around and apologized and left. That's not normal behavior, yeah?"

"Those alternates and time travel can be tricky. Clark apologized for flirting with past!me, when he got sent back in time under the red K influence."

[victormakesart]

"Ha! Nah, nah, this wasn't time travel, this was my fellow sleeping with someone who looked like me but wasn't. To be fair, I said he could sleep with other people, but I never meant me."

"Is it hard... having an open relationship like that?"

[victormakesart]

"It wasn't for me. He was a man, he wanted to have...." She looks carefully from side to side, then says, softly, "Intercourse." Then: "I wasn't interested in intercourse, but I was interested in him. It was logical and reasonable for him to acquire that elsewhere."

"Not all men are like that though." April quietly notes. She herself can be a passionate person, and that passion for her husband must be obvious with the fact she is pregnant.

"Yeah. I learned that when I met Cole. Not so much when I met James, James is kind of a...." A small, nervous giggle, she turns red and fiddles with her hat a little. "I mean, Cole wanted to... a lot. But he wouldn't hear it when I told him he could find someone to do that with. He said he could wait for me to be ready. So did Reed, of course, but then Reed found my alternate who was more than willing and I just couldn't... really deal with him knowing he'd seen 'me' naked and et cetera."

"Clark and I took our time too." April blushed softly. "He always puts me on a pedestal. And makes me feel so special. I am still not used to it."

[victormakesart]

"It's hard. Because of the difference between how you feel and how folks see you. Must be how I felt when... when folks started talkin' to me like I'm beautiful. I mean, if we're goin' by my swollen joints I'm not even beautiful on the inside."

"Beauty can have so many definitions. I hardly see it as a physical thing, since my senses are more tuned to the colors of the auras around me. It is what I use to paint. To truly express myself."

[victormakesart]

"I think you're pretty special. Clark's right to think so." She gives her a gentle nudge, shoulder to shoulder. Part of her is a little jealous, seeing her have what she can never have, a kid growing from her. But mostly she's just so thrilled for her, and full of love for her and the baby. "I know, but... sometimes, I mean, I'd like to be aesthetically pleasing, in the physical sense. Not often. But sometimes."

April blushes softly, and embraces Victor to her side. "And you are pretty special yourself."

"Honey, there are lots of spells out there to enhances ones looks." Lorne joins the conversation.

She wraps an arm around her, rubbing her shoulder.

"Yeah, but that'd be cheating. I'd like to be handsome on my own. I'd like someone to just look at me and think, y' know, look at that person, she's not a freak."

"Do I count? Freak was the last word in my head." Lorne picked up his drink.

"I could never use that word myself." April added.

[victormakesart]

"Yeah. You folks count. And, and Cole and James, they think that I'm good-looking in the physical sense, but, it's... strange to me that they do. I'm not sure if I understand, even now."

[slayers_desire]

"We are pretty lucky that we ended up the men we did." April smiled. Her life could have been so different. But being with Clark has made it amazing.

[victormakesart]

"We are. I think that they're my soulmates, in the most literal senses." She takes a big drink of her pina colada, savoring the taste of it. "Gosh."

"Soulmate is definitely the right definition." April holds up her glass to cheer their men.

[victormakesart]

"Mmhmm." She clinks her glass with April's, settles down into her seat a little more.

[slayers_desire]

"Ladies, you feel ready to depart to somewhere more private?" Lorne asked

"I think so," April smiled. The music was nice, but it would be equally nice to just get away from people in general.

[victormakesart]

"Sure, works for me." She downs the rest of her now cold-but-not-frozen pina colada in one very impressive gulp.

April stood up, and asked the most important question. "Where should we go?"
