a girl's night out ((Tag victor))

April is not quite sure what to wear right now. She has plans for a "Girl's Night Out" with Victor Allen and Lorne. There is still a big part of her that is uneasy about celebrating, for any reason. But tonight is about finding peace in what she experienced. And bond with someone else who felt the same pain and torment.

She decides on a simply gray dress, with a white boa around the color and pearls in her hair. She PINs to the Nexus, to a place where she is to meet Victor and Lorne. The green skinned demon was more than excited about the new adventure. And he was already awaiting her arrival with a big grin.

"When I consider how long I have been with Clark... it amazes me..."

"I know, right? How long's it been, now?"

[slayers_desire]

"Oh wow... nearly seven years since we first met. Clark's timeline of course."

[victormakesart]

"That's wild! I don't think I'll ever get used to the speed of your timeline. Your baby is gonna outgrow my girls in no time."

[slayers_desire]

"I hope not too fast. I do want our kids to get to know each other."

[victormakesart]

"Definitely. I'm sure they'll get to be friends. I hear Anya grows up to be a bit of a scoundrel." She walks them over to the hotel, propelling herself forward with her cane like she's rowing a boat. Greets the octopus-faced young lady knitting at the front desk. "You one of Anna's kids? Yeah, thought so. You grew up!"

"You met your kids grown up?" April can't imagine that. She smiles at the young lady at the desk. And Lorne, being Lorne, gives the lady a rose.

"As teenagers, once. They popped into the TARDIS and made nuisances of themselves."

She pulls a wrinkled twenty from the inside brim of her hat. Ta-da! They get a key card, that looks a little... chewed on one end.

"I have only time traveled once... but it can be tricky."

[victormakesart]

"What was your time-traveling experience?" A first-floor hotel room, thank goodness, so no stairs for Victor.

[slayers_desire]

"Interesting. I went into the future, where I met future Clark. During the time when he wore his Superman costume."

"So I haven't cross that point backwards yet."

[victormakesart]

"Fascinating. How'd that happen?"

[slayers_desire]

"It was during the time I was fighting the Third Evil. It decided to send me into the future where I couldn't fight it..."

"But the Powers That Be worked to send future-me... which will soon be present-me... into the past. Pregnant and everything."

[victormakesart]

"Oh my! But everything ends up okay. Are you nervous about it, at all?"

[slayers_desire]

"The time travel? No. I know things turn out okay."

[victormakesart]

"Yeah. Yeah, that's true. Be super careful anyway."

[slayers_desire]

"It is still a while off. Clark is not quite ready to wear that costume yet."

[victormakesart]

"Yeah." She has to swipe the card five or six times before the door opens, to a suite, a tad too warm the way cheap hotel rooms always are when you walk into them, and Vic corrects the thermostat. But it's clean, which is a Victor requirement, and tidy.

April looks around for a place to sit down. A comfortable enough chair suits her mood. "I am already nervous when he heros... I think I will be more when he is Superman."

[victormakesart]

"Yeah. When he takes on that persona, he'll be taking on a lot more fame, a lot more people are going to notice him, good and bad. But it'll be alright."

Vic sprawls out unladylike on one of the beds (kerthunk).

"Sometimes I feel envious of him, proud of him, worried for him. All a bundle in one little heart."

[victormakesart]

"Totally natural. I feel a lot of those things, too."

[slayers_desire]

"About Clark? Or your husbands?"

[victormakesart]

"Both! I really feel envious of Clark. I wish I could be more like him."

[slayers_desire]

"He does have a lot of qualities that I admire. And I am not just saying that because I am married to him."
