When it came to dating, it was nice to have time alone with Clark. But really, they weren't able to socialize with other couples because in his world it would mean keeping too many secrets. So today April had an idea.
She arranged for a table for four at a nice diner that had a beautiful view of the Tiber River. And close by, there was an alleyway that would allow privacy for those with PINpoint to arrive for the lunch. After that was all arranged, April sent out two invitations.
To Kairos: Hey Kairos, I would like to invite you and Connor to a lunch with me and Clark. PINpoint coordinates are attached. It is a nice casual event. I hope you can attend.
Then to Clark: Hey sweetie. I thought it would be nice to spend some time with another couple who met in the Nexus. I have invited Kairos and Connor to lunch, and would love you at my side. PINpoint coordinates are attached. See you soon!
With that done, all that is left is to wait.

"Clark will be a moment, he had some chores to finish at home."
((ooc: posting order Kairos, Connor, April and Clark? And Clark-mun will be delayed for school.))

Connor gives April a nod, but it's another minute before his gaze stops roving the alley and scoping out the exits. Then he relaxes slightly. "...Yeah. I don't get invited out to much." He doesn't just mean in the last fifteen years, either. Connor's never been a social butterfly.

"I am glad you both could come. I have a table over here. We can have a few drinks before Clark arrives."
no subject
((I'm presuming Clark won't be tagging quite yet. I'll delete if he can though!))

He's listening, but he's not good about names in the Nexus. April, he knows on sight. When they reach the table he moves just slightly out of Kairos' grip to pull out chairs for both girls, in an old-fashioned, chivalrous way. He'll sit after they're both seated.
((I actually need to go run a quick errand, will be back asap... maybe we'll all be here by then? I hope... Sorry...))

Awarding Connor with a smile when he pulls out the chairs, April takes a seat.

Super-sharp hearing picks up the sound of April's voice, and he recognizes Kairos's voice as well. Connor's is unfamiliar, since the only time they have run into each other so far was when Clark's time traveled self was in the Nexus. Pocketing his PINpoint, he homes in on the sounds.

Connor settles in his chair, but he's still ready to leap up at a moment's notice. This is really his first time being in a public, sit-down restaurant (truck stops don't count), in the last fifteen years. He's nervous, and when Connor's nervous, he starts to look slightly dangerous and angry. "...Should I know him?" He asks quietly.

She makes introductions, even though they may be a bit unnecessary. "Clark, this is Kairos and Connor."
"I know that Kairos met Clark before, now..." She laughs, giving her boyfriend a friendly poke because he had not mentioned the fact. "But I don't know if Connor has had the pleasure of answering any of your questions in the Nexus."
no subject
"And hello again," he says to Kairos with a friendly smile, before turning his attention to Connor. "I don't believe we've met before. I'm Clark Kent." He can hear the other man's heartbeat, a little accelerated than it probably is otherwise, due to his nervousness. So he does his best to look as nonthreatening as a six-foot-three man-mountain can.

And there he is, and Kai raises a hand in hello. "Hey!"
no subject
Poor Kairos. Connor alone at home with her is downright sweet, but Connor in a public place with people he doesn't know well is like a wild animal brought indoors. He was that way the first few days in her house, too, but that was a while ago now.

Besides, Connor would just wreck his sword if he did try anything against Clark. And April is confident that her boyfriend won't start anything.
"We were just about to order."
no subject
Still, he has to tilt his head a little curiously, a small frown creasing his brow. "You do?" He's not entirely sure what that means, whether he's met an alternate of Clark, whether he has a lookalike in Connor's universe, or any number of things. "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"
no subject
She'll let them talk, though, frowning a little at April.

Attuning herself slightly to Kairos, April caught her eye.

"Should we get to the main event?" he suggests politely, hoping that perhaps tensions will ease if they're not focused on confronting each other.
no subject
"Yes, please sit down, Connor." there's a slight edge to her tone, and she's attempting to pull him back into his chair. "I'm hungry, aren't you?"
no subject
He also gets the feeling he may be apologizing to her later in private, for being kind of an ass to Clark.
no subject
"We could start with drinks," Hopefully that will provide something familiar to Connor. "Then order appetizers and a main course."
no subject
"You guys go ahead, I'll go last. Need a minute to decide."
no subject
Kairos looks over the menu. There's a couple of things that sounds fantastic. "Have you been here before, April? There's so much I don't know which to choose."
