When it came to dating, it was nice to have time alone with Clark. But really, they weren't able to socialize with other couples because in his world it would mean keeping too many secrets. So today April had an idea.

She arranged for a table for four at a nice diner that had a beautiful view of the Tiber River. And close by, there was an alleyway that would allow privacy for those with PINpoint to arrive for the lunch. After that was all arranged, April sent out two invitations.

To Kairos: Hey Kairos, I would like to invite you and Connor to a lunch with me and Clark. PINpoint coordinates are attached. It is a nice casual event. I hope you can attend.

Then to Clark: Hey sweetie. I thought it would be nice to spend some time with another couple who met in the Nexus. I have invited Kairos and Connor to lunch, and would love you at my side. PINpoint coordinates are attached. See you soon!

With that done, all that is left is to wait.

((She has a pretty intense case of "got everything in the book". She had emergency surgery to unclog some stints that were put in her leg in March, plus her surgeon put in 2 more while he was there. She's got 7 now keeping the blood flow to her feet. Her major health problems are diabetes and Parkinsons. She's doing better, but the visit wasn't nice. On early Tuesday morning (we're talking 1AM here)mom noticed one of her big toes was sort of black. She'd been having problems with her feet for about 2 weeks now, and the thought of losing a toe kind of scared her, so we rushed right in by ambulance. (No car.) We overheard mom's nurse talking about 'the diabetic patient that came in complaining about foot problems. I guess she thought her feet were going to fall off.' I won't complain anymore -- thanks for listening!))

Kairos dabs at her mouth with a napkin before standing up and taking Connor's hand.

((Ack! Glad it doesn't sound like she's losing anything, though. Neuropathy is one of those things diabetics need to be on high alert for. My girlfriend is a very low-level diabetic, and I have an uncle who's diabetic and has had neuropathy in both legs for years now, but he still gets around with crutches and braces. Not fair she has to deal with that and Parkinson's...))

Connor can be a growly old man, but but that's mostly because he feels his age gives him some license to be. He's all bark, right now, and he grins when she takes his hand, squeezing it back. "Sure. I guess there's still lots in the world I haven't seen, yet."

((My mom has diabetes caused by pancreatic cancer, so I totally get that. Glad to hear she's doing better, and hope she continues to improve!))

Clark puts his arm around April's shoulder once they're on their way, slouching just a little bit to accommodate her height as compared to his. "This was a really great idea. Thank you."

((so then are we all good to end the scene here?))

"I enjoyed it too. This has been a great day."
