visiting the Nexus greenhouse

After making all the important arrangements with those that operate the Nexus greenhouse, April is finally able to send Finn an invitation.

Using his contact information, she sends him the PINpoint address of the greenhouse. "Come on down to the greenhouse. The flowers are waiting."

It's not long before Finn arrives. He pokes around outside the greenhouse looking for April, thinking it would be rude to just walk in.

The front door is open, and April is just inside wearing a sundress. She looks up with a smile, "Come on in, Finn."

Finn smiles at his new friend. "Hey there. Thanks for inviting me." he says as he enters, and as he does so, all the plants seem to turn toward him.

The greenhouse is most likely one of the fullest, and exotic that Finn has seen. There are many recognizable plants from all over the world, and lots that are totally foreign to Finn.

The foreign ones might not turn to him along with the others. They are more loyal to their Mistress, Poison Ivy.

Finn looks around at the plants, feeling completely at home here. Most people wouldn't feel so immediately comfortable in new surroundings but in a place like this, Finn was most at ease.

April gestures to an open container filled with a variety of plant food, in case Finn wants to visit these plants.

"It was the right bait then."

"Ooh." Finn notices the plant food, not that he needs it. He can will plants to grow. He picks some out and walks over to some flowers, reaching out to stroke their leaves. "Hello beautiful." he coos as the flowers arch into his touch.

He looks over his shoulder. "Bait?"

April picks up a watering can, and starts to check to see if any plants require any attention.

"A flirt attempt. Found the right 'bait' to have you around."

"You didn't need bait. You seem nice. I'd have hung out with you outside a greenhouse if you asked." he laughed. He popped some plant food in his mouth and chewed. That was probably weird.

The girl who drinks blood is not going to think Finn weird for eating plant food.

"That is good to know." April smiled.

Finn never thought about that. "This is pretty good." he motioned to the food. "Only the best for these guys huh?" He jokes.

"Okay so I don't really eat plant food. It's not bad though."

"Knowing aunt Pam, it is not only high-quality, but totally organic." April laughed. "I was going to ask it your diet was more forgiving, cause I could order us pizza later."

"Yes, I eat all the same things every other guy does." he chuckles. "I love pizza."

"Vanilla? Really?" He raises a brow. "Awesome!"

"And there are some toxins in your blood."

He frowns. "Hope I don't make you sick. Guess I can never be a blood donor huh?"

"Remember, I can't get sick. And this is useful information for you," a gentle stroke of his cheek with this statement.

He hadn't forgotten. She said her abilities SHOULD keep her safe, he had still been concerned.

He blushes a bit. "I suppose it is. Thank you."

In the moment that was presented, April gently kissed his lips.

"Anything else that you are curious about?"

Finn was taken aback and surprised at the kiss.

".....actually I think my mind just went completely blank. What's my name again?"

Welcome Finn to the world of April. She is more than comfortable with displays of affection.

His response gets a laugh. "Hopefully a good blank."

"It might be when I remember who the hell I am and what I did to deserve a kiss from a pretty blonde I just met." he chuckles.

"And it had been the moment."

"In that case, yes. A very good blank." He smiled.

"Good." April touches his lips with her fingers. Then stands from her seat. "Pizza time?"
