visiting the Nexus greenhouse

After making all the important arrangements with those that operate the Nexus greenhouse, April is finally able to send Finn an invitation.

Using his contact information, she sends him the PINpoint address of the greenhouse. "Come on down to the greenhouse. The flowers are waiting."

He's a little confused by the wording of that. "Are you saying I should offer cash for kissing, stroking and sex?" He jokes to cover his confusion.

"That... would get you hit."

"It was a joke. I didn't understand what you were getting at. Besides, look at me. I don't pay for that kind of thing."

"I was trying to understand why you weren't comfortable with me getting the bill this time."

"Does that mean you get a lot of action then..."

"Not that I wasn't comfortable with it. Just being polite. Saying I don't pay for it and getting a lot are two completely different things. I don't get it a LOT but I do alright."

"I am not surprised you do alright. You are an attractive man."

"You're pretty good looking yourself." he admitted, taking another bite of pizza.

"Sweet talking." A subtle lick of the lips with her next bite of the pizza.

He smirks. "Just being honest." She did have nice lips it could be noted.

"Anything else that you want to do?"

"I have nowhere to be. Did you have something in mind?"

"I have lots of ideas. I was asking you what you wanted to do."

"I would say go out for some drinks, but alcohol affects me a lot differently than most people."

"How so?"

"I get drunk VERY quickly and very easily. Because alcohol is made from fermented plants, it hits me like a ton of bricks."

"Then we could always go out for non-alcoholic drinks. One doesn't need to get drunk to have fun."

"That sounds like it could be enjoyable. Besides, I could always have ONE if you don't mind looking after me if it sends me loopy." he laughs.

"I would rather you be responsible for your own actions, and not have the alcohol to blame."

"Good point. That's a bad idea." He nods. "I think I'll just head back to my apartment, I've been putting off my report for way too long."

April blinks. One moment they were talking about going for drinks. Then Finn randomly decided to call the night to an end.

"Oh. Okay."

April was dangerous to Finn. A pretty girl and he thought she was nice. He didn't have time for girls right now, his education was way too important. Not to mention it wouldn't be long before she realized just how boring he was.

"I know it's random. I just think you're really nice and very pretty and that's a scary thing for me right now. I hope you're not offended. I have enjoyed hanging out with you."

April could see the walls being put up. "I wasn't looking for anything more than friendship."

"You eat very suggestively." He laughed quietly. "Seemed like you were interested."

"I can be attracted to someone, without looking for a relationship."

"And I'm a gigantic idiot right now." A few of the nearby plants droop a bit, reacting to his awkward feelings.
