lets do the time warp baby ((Future-Verse))
After a full week of classes, April felt drained and accomplished. Things were getting more intense with final papers and preparations for the end of her first year.
It felt good to enter her bed, cuddle into the blankets and fall asleep. Unfortunately, it seemed that her voices were not going to let her sleep easily tonight.
The vision came on stronger than any other she ever had. In the haunting whispers of the vision, April could see all seven faces of the Big Bads that were threatening Rome. And because of her knowledge of the TV shows, April woke up feeling worried.
She had to tell someone. And as she grabbed her phone, April felt strange and was surrounded by a sickly green light. This was bad... she knew it. And she felt being pulled into the light... then falling... falling... falling.
Until she hit the bed again. April gasped out loud. Not sure if that had been part of the dream or not. She didn't even notice that the bed in which she lay was bigger. Or that there was more space in the bedroom either.
Trying her phone again, all April received was static. It was like the phone wasn't working. And she set it down, and glanced around her surroundings. Noticing the bigger bed, and bedroom, April clutched the sheets to her in concern.
"Where am I?"

"Yes... I see Rome."

"You are amazing."

More than that, it makes him look heroic. "I'm just a simple farmboy," he tells her as they soar over the Atlantic Ocean towards Italy.

They make it to Rome so quickly, April wonders if it is because he is faster. More experienced. And she gets a sensation, like something is calling to her.
"We have to go to the mountains."
((ooc I had unexpected family visits. I will be more available later tonight. Sorry for delay))
no subject
He flies directly to the mountain, the one that his younger self was guided to by this Clark's wife, and hovers over the spot. "Here?"
((That is totally okay! RL stuff is always more important than fun pretendy times.))
no subject
Of course, this April is not as alert to that. And when they land, she just gets this uneasy shiver. "Something is magical here."
((pretendy times are fun, and glad I am back)

But something about Clark's belief in himself gives this April the courage to try. She steps forward and closes her eyes. And starts to concentrate on the magic. It takes longer for the runes to start to activate.
And when the whole stone is aglow... she is visibly strained.

"Are you all right?"

The cave is dark, and April keeps her hand on the wall to guide her. "You seem so happy when you talk of her... er me. Its nice to know that we get through the difficult times."
no subject
It takes him a moment to remember that she hasn't learned the light trick yet, and he takes her free hand in his to help guide her as they step deeper into the cave. "There's so much I wish I could warn you about. To try to avoid some of the mistakes we've made. But we've been able to stay together and make it work, even after the things we've been through. Finding you all those years ago... it's still the best thing that ever happened to me."

They come to the glistening rocks, where Clark will recall the second test awaits them. "Knowing that we going to stand by each other, it gives me hope. That we can make it through whatever happens."
no subject
Her words are appropriate here, and he stops her before they enter within range. "We're going to have to rely on that partnership now, at the second test. We have to face our greatest weakness."
no subject
"I just hope I don't lose you again." Losing him twice was a lot.
There is a sense of dread at what he says, "How so?"
no subject
"This test simulates our greatest weaknesses," he explains. "Kryptonite for me, demonic warding for you. It won't be pleasant, but stick with me and we can get through it." He's far more concerned about his wife and child, even though he knows already how this story ends.
