After having a good conversation with Kairos after her last adventure in the Nexus, April decided to invite the Slyph over to spend some time. It was a good way to get to know her new friend better.

"Well, they can be pretty common." She lifts up a clear blue-green piece to her eye. "They make pretty baubles."

"I can see why they would. Maybe they are the blue I am looking for." April picked up one. "Its pretty. Like the ocean."

"Did you have a particular setting in mind?"

"Silver is nice. It is a protective metal."

"Mm. It is. I expect we should wait to see what sort of dress you pick out. We wouldn't want to create something modern and bulky when your dress ends up fairytale-ish."

"The dress itself, I think I would like something more princessy. If that makes sense. Etheral. Enchanting."

"With a nice low cut, so that any jewerly would be accented."

She sets the sea glass back on the table and grins at April. "And so Clark can feast his eyes on other pretty things besides jewelry?"

April blushes. "It is the best way to attract a male, isn't it?"

Kai looks down at her own chest. "I'm told they do." She's barely an A cup. "Truth is, my experience with men is .. almost nonexistent."

April is nicely between an A and a B.

"So is mine, truthfully. Clark is my first boyfriend. And we are both taking it slow."

"Practicing now and then." She adds softly.

She nods, just a little pink. "Yes. Connor and I have .. practiced the art of kissing. It's nice."

"It is an art that should be practiced often. When one has the chance."

"Indeed. And even sometimes when one doesn't. Those are the best."

"We should do an evening together some time."

"We should! Connor should get out more." So should she, to somewhere that isn't work or her sister's house or The Way.

"I think it would be a nice break from the ordinary."

"Mmhm. Though," she grins. "Living in Sanctuary, it's not exactly ordinary."

"Do you get a lot of unique people there?"

"Every single one of us are supernatural in some sort. Either we married in or we were born. Demons, angels, vampires, faeries.. they're all there."

"We have demons and vampires in my world. Are they different in yours?"

"Mmmhm. Vampires ... well, they follow rules of society. Most don't think they're better than everyone else. But they've got an air of romance, I think. Of sex, at least. They've got their animalistic side, but they .. they're just people, you know? Some revel in what they happen to be, and some just roll their eyes at the mythology. Same goes with demons. I don't know many of them, though."

"I think this is the first I have heard of vampires following the rules of society. The ones in my dimension just act on their instinct."

"The ones in your world sound a little closer to how I feel sometimes."

Kairos decides to buy some of the seaglass - she was getting low anyway. She tilts her head at April. "You're a vampire?"

"Yes. A little different from the others in my world. I had been born from two vampires, and have enough human traits to pass as one."

"Especially during daylight."

She blinks. "You were born of vampires, but you've got more humanity? How does that work?" It's not the 'humanity' that makes her blink, but the not being a half-breed part.
