slayers_desire | valentine's day is a time for lovers

For April, during her 800-years of training with the Masters, she had never really given much thought to special holidays. Birthdays, Christmas, or even Valentine's Day. But now that she is with Rain, there is going to be a celebration of their love today, in commemoration of Valentine's Day.

The day will start off simple enough, with a break from training for Rain. Which might be appreciated, after a week of training, and slaying (which has improved even further). But this is not unusually for a Sunday, because it is often a day of rest for the Slayer at the end of each week.

The thing that makes today special, in a romantic way, will be presented closer to evening. When it is time for supper, and Rain will discover that April has set out a picnic blanket and an assortment of romantic foods, including strawberries, chocolate, oysters and whipped cream.

Tonight, April is wearing a seductive animal-print dress, and has the lighting of the room down low. An assortment of candles will give them enough light to eat by. And there is soft music playing in the background.

"So would I." he kisses her again, then puts his gift around his neck. "I don't think there's a better match out there for me anywhere. I'm very lucky."

"I am glad you think so." There will be another gift. Later. But right now, April just feeds him another strawberry.

"Mmmm." he takes a bite, savoring it. "How did you know I liked strawberries?"

"Educated guess." Every since first taking his blood, April has almost had a sixth-sense for what Rain likes.

"Well look at you. Sexy as hell and smarter than I could ever hope to be." That could be so handy in so many ways.

"Tsk tsk. You are sexy. And smart."

"Oh I know I'm sexy, but I'm not as smart as you are. Not by a long shot. There's a reason you're the teacher."

"I have 800 years of education behind me. You are still young. And besides, you have taught me new things, let us not forget that."

"Only because I'm awesome in bed." he teased.

"You are indeed. Something I had not mastered in my 800 years of study." April nuzzles him. She swirls some whipped cream on her fingertip, offering it to his mouth.

"But maybe... we are meant to balance each other."

He takes her fingertip gratefully, sucking it clean. "Do you think so?"

"I know so. In what I lack, I shall learn from you. In what you lack, you shall learn from me. Together, we will be stronger." She kisses his neck.

"I love you, you know that?" He says, snuggling into her lips.

"Yes. But it is still nice to hear." April gently nibbled his bottom lip. "I love you too."

He nibbled hers in return and thought of something. "Did you call your mom? Wish her happy V-day? We should send her flowers, from the both of us."

"I didn't call her, because the phone would be off the hook. As ours is, right now. Mother had special plans with Uncle Markus." April replied, bringing another strawberry up to his lips. "But no worries, flowers will be sent."

He doesn't know who uncle Markus is, he supposes he should have asked at some point but it wasn't any of his business. He opens his mouth for the berry and then gets one for her as well.

Sensing the question, April explains. "Uncle Markus is my mother's current boyfriend. Who lives with her." She takes the strawberry with a soft moan of relaxation.

"Oh so not really an uncle, but because of their relationship. I got it." He wonders how she knew he was thinking that.

"Want me to rub your feet babe?"

"Indeed. It would be too weird for Mother to date her actual brother. Gross." April shivers. "Plus, Mother is an only child."

"Really? That would be nice."

He nods. "Yes really." he gets up and goes to his room to find some cream, then comes back and sits crosslegged, pulling her feet up into his lap.

Leaning back, pulling a pillow to place under her back, April relaxs with her feet in Rain's lap. "I like this. Breaking from the regular training schedule."

Rain lotions up his hands, warming it up and then starts to rub April's delicate feet.

"Yeah, me too. You push me pretty hard y'know." he smirks. "I know it's for my good though."
