nursing wounds in an open field
Still in shock, April held onto Clark as he speed her to an open, quiet field. It was better than the Nexus, with less emotions off randomly passing people. And there was a familiarity in Clark's worried emotions and thoughts.
Her breathing was slowing down to a normal pace. The first concern would be the cut, which still had not healed with her abilities. April knew she had to explain, somehow.

Their bond is very close after all they survived together. And now April has touched his mind, been nourished by his blood, and knows that she is in his heart.

It is reassuring that he is willing to give his blood to her at any time. And kisses him softly because of that.
"I feel better, knowing that we have each other to depend on."
