Another time-traveling circle has closed for April and Clark. She was sent into the past, by the Powers that Be, to work with the past-version of Clark; while her past-version was sent into the future and worked with the present-day Clark.

Together, past and present, they defeated the Seven Sins. And were able to complete another time-traveling adventure in the lives of the couple.

Right now, April and Clark are still standing in Rome, in the ancient tomes that once contained the Seven statues representing the Seven Sins. April rested on her husband's chest, him in his Superman costume, that has now become more familiar around the world.

April was nearly 39 weeks pregnant. Any the baby could come any day now... in fact there was more movement from her child each passing day. And those lovely practices of Braxton Hicks contractions. Fortunately, the main focus of today was just completing the time-travel, and no 'fake pregnancy'.

Looking up at her husband, April sighed softly. "I had forgotten how young we both were."

"That reminds me to buy some fabric guard for myself."

She leans in to lightly kiss the bottom of his jawline. "And you will come home from work, with your wife looking all ragid, and tired."

"It won't be that bad... and if you want a day for yourself, I can always take Acorn to work with me." He wants to do his fair share of raising their child, and he doesn't care if his coworkers tease him for doing what a father should.

"I am so glad that you are here, helping me raise and protect our child."

"Me too." And he's proud to be doing so, not just as the faceless Blur, but as a hero who isn't afraid to stand before the city and put himself between them and whatever threat is coming their way. This is what he was meant to be, guardian of Metropolis, protector of Earth, keeping it safe for every family.

April can feel the strength in her husband's heart. And she is so proud of him for achieving what he was meant to be.

"Have I told you lately that I love you?"

"You have," he says with a chuckle. "But I'm always happy to hear it again."

"Well I do... love you." She kisses his earlobe. "I love the man you have become. I love the fact you faced all the struggles and difficulties to get to this point. I love the fact that we are having a family together."

"I love all the moments where you excited me, thrilled me, and kept my life an adventure. I love the fact that you accept me fully. And that you always will."

He's known her for so many years now, and he still feels like the luckiest man alive to have her. "I write for a living and I don't think I could top that," he says with a smile, stroking her hair.

April sighed contently as he stroked her hair. "You are romantic in your own way."

"I do my best," he says, leaning forward to kiss her forehead. "Right now... I'm thinking we deserve a nice dinner for the day we've had. What are you in the mood for?"

April thought about the question for a moment. "Pizza. But with shrimp. And banana peppers. Oh and maybe a few pickles?"

He sighs, but he's only pretending to be disapproving of her topping choices, and his amusement ripples over the bond. "Only for you, dear." He would do anything for her. Even eat pizza with shrimp, pickles, and banana peppers on it.

"Hey I could ask for weirder..." And she has. He has done late-night Chinese food runs... to China... for her.

He has indeed, and he would do it anytime she asked. The people at his favorite takeout place in Shanghai know him all too well by now. "You could, but then you wouldn't get your pizza."

"Pizza would be bliss." She kisses his temple lightly.

"Then I'll be right back. Don't go anywhere."

"Hey I am not even tempted to clean right now... so don't worry."

He gives her another kiss before he stands up. "Well if I do come back and everything's rearranged again, I guess I'll know that Shelby did it."

"Shelby is very tricky." April laughes fondly. Patting her side, so the dog would come sit beside her.

She doesn't have to ask twice, as Shelby is always looking for opportunities to be petted by his favorite people. Even though he has a harder time putting his head in April's lap now.

"See you soon," Clark says, and disappears, off to get the strangest pizza on Earth.
