Day One: Introduce Yourself:
My name is April. The name is of Latin origin and means "to open". It was given to me by the Kleynach demons who raised me in Qua-Toth, a dimension also known as the "Darkest of Worlds".
Technically I was born roughly a year and a half ago. My father, Spike, who was a vampire that earned back his soul, had sacrificed his life in Sunnydale using a magical amulet to cast sunlight on the First Army and its army. The Powers That Be decided that his sacrifice was worthy of a life, and while Spike suffered as a spirit in Los Angeles, took that life to my mother Drusilla. She had not accepted the pregnancy easy, for had no soul of her own and had attempted several times to 'get out of the situation'. But The Powers That Be had determined that my birth was meant to be and Drusilla was stuck being pregnant.
In her final term of the pregnancy, Drusilla had several Demons after her, each of whom had decided they wanted some claim on the child she was carrying. Some wanted an innocent life they could sacrifice, some had heard of the destiny carried with my birth and wanted to corrupt me, and others were well... looking for a meal. Despite her insanity and lack of soul, Drusilla had a slight bond with me by that time and found an appropriate demon to give me to. One that would protect her against the others. And at least not destroy me right after my birth.
The Kleynach took me from Drusilla after my birth and into Qua-Toth. Time passes differently there and I aged normally to where I am now. Roughly 18, as I am uncertain to my birthday. It was in Qua-Toth I discovered my vampiric abilities, Which included enhanced strength, enhanced speed, enhanced agility and enhanced healing. I was human enough to have a soul, and to age properly, and was able to enter sunlight (something I didn't discover until I left Qua-Toth). Also I was vampire enough to require blood as nourishment.
At the age of 16, I discovered other supernatural abilities. The psychic gifts first appeared in the form of visions, and my very first warned me of my own death if I continued to stay in Qua-Toth. It wasn't really a death in the physical definition, but death of my human side as the "Darkest of Worlds" would corrupt my Demon side into control. So to change my own future, I found the magic to create a portal and return to my home dimension.
I have only been in my home dimension for a couple of months, and was fortunate enough to have discovered the Nexus around the same time. Unfortunately my first couple of weeks in my home dimension had been difficult and I had not found the safety of the Nexus yet. And... sigh... my Demon side had sought out my parents for revenge on abandoning me. And I staked my mother, and didn't return to my senses until finding my father. Fortunately.
For a while I lived with my dad in Los Angeles, but recently he took me to Rome. It is where Buffy, Willow, Xander and the other 'Scoobies' currently reside and fight evil. In the last month or so some of my powers have adapted, where I can sense people's emotions and at times can read or project thoughts. My gifts continue to mature and I hope that I can handle whatever I need to. They say I have a destiny. That my gifts "will open" something of great power or potential. But I still wonder about that.
I have no allergies. I have never been sick a day in my life. My greatest strength has been the Nexus, for from it I have learned so much more about myself and found the greatest of friends. My greatest weakness is my Demon side, and I always fear losing control, or losing my sanity, and have difficulties being comfortable with the fact I require blood to exist.
