For the Watcher and the Slayer, things returned to schedule after the weekend, after Rain had been able to slay his very first Demon. And by this time, Rain's body and mind would have adjusted to the hours and the dedication. He would discover that he felt stronger. That he was able to destroy more evil vampires during the night in his world.

Of course, the fact that his difference was much stronger than before, it brought attention to his part of the world. There was the wrong kind of attention, that Rain was not aware of yet, but would have to face in the future.

Tonight, however, it was a different kind of attention that sought Rain out. He had just finished slaying five vampires, at the same time, and had been dusting himself off. When he heard a cough from behind him. The woman who stood there had been there... for who knew how long. She seemed familiar, in a way, but he could not place her name right away with how the night hid her face from sight so far.

"So..." She lit a cigarette. Her face familiar under the flame, it was Faith. The Slayer who had come after Buffy, and had a difficult road herself. "No longer a potential, you are earning your own stripes in life."

"Would have been my guess too." He just didn't want to guess in case he was wrong. "Thanks Robin. Sorry I burst in on you." He jots down his info. "In case you or Faith ever need help again" he says, handing it to him. "I think I'll take April home and try to wake her there."

Robin takes the note and nods. Faith, who had exited the shower at that moment (wearing a towel) chuckled. "Well kid. You did good. I certainly won't have to worry about hitting this area on our travels. And we will be sure to give ya a call."

"Thanks Faith. You two...have fun or...whatever." He says distractedly. "Goodbye for now." He PINpointed out with April and the coffin.

Arriving at their place, Rain kicked off his ruined sneakers and picked April up carefully and carried her to her room. He lay her on the bed and took a quick shower because let's face it, he was disgusting.

Rain wrapped a towel around his waist and grabbed a knife from the kitchen. He sat on the bed beside April.

"I hope this works. I love you." He kissed her forehead and then held out his left arm. He brought the blade across his flesh with a grimace and a noise of pain and the blood flowed forth. He moved April across his lap, propping her head on his abs and held his wound to her lips, parting them.

It had been the smell of blood that awoke April. Her eyes snapped open, blood-red with hunger. And then, with the taste right at her lips, she shifted into something almost un-human. Her vampire form took over as her fangs pierced his skin and sucked hungrily.

If Rain had ever wondered why victims of vampire feeding do not struggle too much, he would understand now. The sensation was almost erotic. There was some pain... true, but the pleasure was even more intense.

Rain jumped a bit, merely startled. He wasn't afraid of April, probably never could be. When the fangs peirced his flesh, he gave a shudder. First and only for a moment, it was revulsion. This was how his parents died and that was NOT alright, but then the shudder turned to arousal. This WAS alright. It was consensual and between lovers and perhaps the only way to wake her. He stroked her hair with his free hand as she fed.

Because of the strength of the Slayer's blood, it did not take much for April to snap into full awareness. Her eyes lifted to look at Rain, and after a second her mouth lifted off the wound. There was a tender sucking of the freed blood around the wound, before his Slayer abilities started the healing process.

Renewed with strength, vigor, and filled with arosal herself, April kissed up his arm. Her face returning to human by the time her lips reached his collar bone. "What... how did you find me?"

"Find you? I didn't even know you were gone. A Slayer named Faith sought out my help with a demon and it turned out he had you captive in a glass coffin covered with runes."

April blinked. "I had gone into our dimension to do some research on the Master that you will be facing... when I smelled..."

She looked down at his arm, then up to him, "Your blood. And I thought you were hurt. And I followed it. And... then blackness."

"A Demon had me?"

"You smelled my blood? Weird. Faith said it would smell like virgin blood, to us it smelled like roses."

He nods and describes the demon.

"All I know it was the best blood I had ever smelled. And it..." April blushed slightly. "Turned me on. And only the smell of you had ever done that before. So I had thought..."

Once he describes the Demon, April shuddered. "A feeder. Oh god. Thank goodness you saved me. That would have been a horrible way to die."

"Any way you could die would be horrible to me."

"My smell turns you on? Like after a shower or my sweat or just me in general?" He asks curiously.

"The runes said something about a great destiny. Anything you can make of that?"

Thinking about how Rain had given her his blood, and what Thanatos had said to her, April knew she could trust Rain completely. "I sort of can smell your blood. There is always a lingering scent on you. And when I am close to you... your smell is such a turn on... that I could smell you all day. I could lick you all day."

"It is just you Rain. You turn me on."

"Destiny? Elaborate please?"

"Lick me all day huh? That sounds fun." He grins. He tries to remember what Robin had said. "Just something in runes about you and a great destiny.. Can't remember exactly what he said but the coffin is here if you can read them."

April glanced at the coffin, then returned her attention back to him. Delicately she licked at his neck. It might be a distraction, but Rain could not tell for sure.

"That destiny. Right. Figures it would be used against me."

Rain isn't stupid. If it WAS a distraction, it meant she didn't want to talk about it and as the man who loves her, he wasn't going to pressure her into it.

"So how do I taste?" he asks, changing the subject.

"Delicious. Like Rain." April purred. Wrapping her arms around his body, she purred again. "A naked Rain."

Nibbling just a little, she sighed. "I had a Demon take me before, when I was very young. That one tried to change my foretold destiny, so that I would be a warrior for evil, instead of good. I would wager the Feeder wass just trying to feed off my power, to enhance his."

"I'm glad you enjoy me so much." he smiled.

"I'm sorry you've had to go through this a couple times. It's horrible."

"The path for those with destiny is never easy. But the strong will make it." April whispered. She nibbled his ear this time.

"And you're very strong, I have no doubt about your ability to make it." he leaned his ear into her nibbling.
