Truth be told, it had not been the best of weeks for April.
In the Buffyverse, April had been recovering from her mother's attack, when strange man had woken her up in the middle of the night, claiming to be her father.
And it even seemed that her normal escape to the Nexus had not been enough. It had been nice to spend time with Kairos in Rome, but then later things started to come apart on her. She had discovered that the white roses had in fact not been sent by Clark, and had an unsettling premonition of why they had been sent to her. True-blood demons known as The Scourge were planning to abduct her. And she was still uncertain to when that would happen.
With all this going on, it makes it easy to stay the weekend with Clark. But hiding away is not going to solve her problems. Even if it works for now.
