slayers_desire | Plotting time... come one come all

Okay... I really need to start plotting out my ideas for the Dinner with Maloker plot.

I really see three different installments for this storyline. But need other players to get involved and voice their opinions, desires for their characters.

Installment One: Niverian/Anastasa -- When Niverian sends his message to Hades that he will become the new Guardian of Limbo (upon his death), he will receive word that Lindsay is facing a harsher penalty than before. (Behind the scenes, it will be Persephone who commanded the new punishment, her way of getting revenge to Niverian's demands on her). This will push Niverian further to helping find a way to release Lindsay from Tartarus. By this point, his parents would have found Eve in Limbo, but the problem is to find Darla, and Maloker himself.

Installment Two: The only one who can reach Maloker is April, who will be primarily involved in the second installment, along with Clark definitely. During this interaction, April will discover that her voices are a gift from Maloker himself, almost an extension of himself. And she will also discover some shocking truths about her mothers' past, as a human.

Installment Three: I aim to have as many players involved that so desire in the final installment, where Lorne must face the Trio, and deal with the Sphere of Music. Since this is the swan-song for Lorne, I would definitely want Victor involved.

How malevolent is Maloker? Is he going to be a sort of big bad, or is he more the "stays in the shadows" type?

Also for installment three, what is involved with this Trio?

He is a big bad that stays in the shadows. He is a massive bat-like demon, with pointed ears and loose, wing-like folds of skin connecting his arms and body. He will have sharp fangs and claws, a crest-like protrusion on the back of his head, and charcoal or gray fur covering most of his body. He has a lot of demon strengths, just like any other Old One.

The Trio -- Discord, Disharmony, and Cacophony -- will release three notes which would destroy the universe, by causing its "center" to unbalance. Lorne will be throwing himself into the portal, thus becoming the new center for the Music of the Spheres.

Aww, poor Lorne. :( I will miss him.

How much firepower would we like to have along for installments two and three? Given what Maloker is and who they're going to be facing.

Maloker definitely will provide a challenge. Fire power might be greatly appreciated.

Might want to have Harry Dresden along then... or possibly Bigby. Not sure if you've looked at his journal at all to see who/what he is. I've got his history on his profile page and the rest of his stuff in an entry.

I did check out his journal for info. Of course to get Bigby involved, he will have to find out more about April. LOL

Having the Big Bad Wolf along can totally be a helpful thing, lol.

I don't want to make another Nexus post for him so soon so we must come up with some other reason for them to meet up... unless April was going to make one, but questions are hard to come by these days. Hmm.

True, April doesn't have a lot to question right now, and even she was going to ask something closer to the second installment -- that might be too tight of a timeline.

Well they have met once already, so maybe we could plot some other instance of them running into each other. A post set in the Nexus but not posted there maybe.

I'm trying to think of ideas for how they could bump into each other and I'm thinking Bigby might actually seize the chance to run wild in wolf form, since he doesn't really get to do that much in Fabletown these days. A wolf the size of a large truck would tend to draw mundy attention. :P Is there anything we could do with that?

Oh that would definitely draw attention. April could have the kiddies with her, Jonathan would just love to see a huge wolf and would draw her attention to the creature.

Fortunately he can still talk in wolf form just fine. He wouldn't shift to human with children around because his clothes don't change with him, lol.

She would recognize the aura. And his voice.

Well, that's definitely going to cement Niverian's opinion of Persephone as a spoiled brat. She's not allowed to try to steal another woman's boyfriend away from her, so she punishes the man said boyfriend is trying to help for it? Yeah. Probably going to make him even more defiant towards her.

I'd like Niverian involved with Installment II, since getting Lindsay out of Tartarus was his idea in the first place. And of course, whenever April goes into something dangerous, Ed is going to want to be there to help her.

I'm going to miss Lorne too :( Niverian's probably going to feel a little guilty about it, since he was trying to help Lorne come to terms with his guilt over killing Lindsay.

I wouldn't say spoiled... just acting out against her circumstances. She is trapped too after all.

I am sure we can find a way for Niverian and Ed to be involved in the second installment.

And I wouldn't worry about the guilt... Lorne will find inner peace before he sacrifices himself.

I'm not sure how I can help, but I'll all in, definitely for Installment Three, but Vic's happy to jump in in other installments as well, if there's an opening for her!
