It has been weeks since April's voices were returned to normal, thanks to the efforts of Clark, Ed and Cipher Nine. And while the voices returned to their everyday work, of providing assistance and advice to the Key, it seemed that she wasn't willing to pay attention.

April was scared, truth be told. She was scared in trusting her voices again.

It was J'onn who informed Clark that his wife was refusing to provide advice to the other JLA members. And while no one had suffered yet, it was like the team was missing a big part of their strengths.

Of course the best way for her to detail her experience is to share it. So she gently touches his mind, reaching over their bond, to show him what Harry had seen with his True Sight.

"Wow..." It's a very vivid image, and although he's less practiced than her at interpreting symbolism, it seems pretty clear to him.

"And while discussing my concerns and everything, it occured to me that I could perhaps research the origin of my voices."

"Is that possible?" Clark wonders. They've never really looked into it before. "Who would you ask?"

"Harry suggest researching the Watcher library.... and... I don't know if it would work, but I could try tuning my voices into finding a starting point."

"Well... I can't see that it would hurt anything if you tried." He leans over and gives her a kiss. "You know whatever you do, I'll support you."

"I know you will. You always have."

((I was thinking of tying in her search for the origin of the voices, to meeting Maloker, the Old One responsible for siring vampires))

((Oh, that could be an interesting plot))

((Hmm... I've been thinking about the Valkyrie thread a little bit lately. Or we could plot something with Clark Luthor.

Although I am also trying to get Harry more involved in things... so we have options))

((Well she will need a heavy-hitter to deal with the Old One. Not only does he have a horde of uber-vampires at his calling, but as an Old One, Maloker had strength superior to most demons, vampires and Slayers. Maloker's immense size also allowed him to tackle several opponents at once. He is also capable of holding his own against several demons and creatures, along with deities and magic practitioners))

((That definitely sounds up Harry's alley! His spells aren't amazingly precise but when it comes to power, he's in the top five magic-users of his world))
