April had insisted for Rain and her to stay on the beach until the sunrise, she wanted to watch it with him. It had been so long since she enjoyed the sun, she just wanted to feel the warmth of the sun on her skin.

After wards, she changed (and insisted Rain did too), before using her PINpoint to open a portal to where they would find her mother. The strange thing was, she didn't give Rain a PINpoint to use himself. And that it seemed, the code she used was protected by a password.

Seconds later, when they appeared on a sidewalk heading up to a home, located near a beach itself. Rain would note, just by the surroundings, that this was definitely did not look like his home dimension and thus was not April's home dimension either. In fact, it was almost a... fifties type of neighborhood.

"This is it..." April breathed. Taking his hand.

Rain luckily didn't need much sleep. However, once they had found a place to start setting up a training area, he would be crashing hard.

He gave April's hand a squeeze. "I'm right here with you. Try not to get too upset." He looked around the neighbourhood. "This place is right out of Back to the Future."

"MMmmm you might not feel it... but actually we are on a spaceship. A floating city." April quietly told him. She knocked on the door.

"Almost everyone else in the City had been... taken by Aliens called Strangers as an experiment. Mother and I moved here, after having to leave my home in a hurry."

It only took a couple of moments before the door was opened. An older beautiful blond stood there, with a quirkful smile on her face when she saw who was behind the door.

"April..." Harley obviously recognized her daughter in this form. "Bringing home friends from school?"

"A space ship? No way..." He looks around again. When the door opens, Rain puts on his most charming smile. "Hello ma'am. I'm Rain." He offers his hand but leaves any explaination as to how they know each other up to April.

April is quick enough for the introductions, as her mother takes Rain's offered hand. "Rain, this is my mother, Harley Quinn."

Does he know comic books? Because the name might ring a bell.

"And no mom... Rain is not from my school. In fact, he is a Slayer."

"A slayer." Harley repeated, her hand still in Rain's. "I did not know that men could be slayers."

"Come in..." She gestured for the pair to enter the living room.

Rain does indeed know comic books and his jaw goes a little slack. "No way." he mutters quietly, almost to himself.

"Normally men can't be from what I've heard. I've got Chimera syndrome." he doesn't explain right away, he doesn't want to assume she doesn't know what it is.

He follows April into the house when offered.

Of course, both April and Harley can hear his soft exclaimation. They both smile.

"Chimera syndrome." Harley brings some tea over to the couch area, where they can all sit. "Essentially two people in one body. When the more dominant twin, thus being you, has two sets of DNA because you absorbed the genetics of your... sister I would assume?"

"Mother used to be a biologist and a psychiatrist." April explains. Not that Rain wouldn't know that

Rain sits down and takes his cup of tea with a "Thank you." He listens to her explanation and nods. "Yes, she would have been my sister. This might be one of the first times I didn't have to explain it all." he smiles at her and then smiles at April with a wink. Indeed he did know that.

"So are you from the same... timeline that April's home dimension? With Buffy awakening all the potentials? Or are you just a... male Buffy?" Harley is trying to define the difference of course.

April smiles at Rain. Relaxing a litt.e

"I've never met Buffy but I've dreamed about her and from what I've been able to figure out between dreams and how people in the Nexus have interpreted them, yes.. I'm an awakened potential."

"Ah. April's father helped slightly with fighting the One Evil, so Buffy and the others could awaken the potentials."

"I did not know that, mother." April sets down her cup, interested.

"So I guess I partially have him to thank for the slayer gig huh?" he grinned. It wasn't really something he was thankful for but it is what it is and he's accepted it.

"But I am guessing you are not here to talk Slayer related stuff." Harley assumes. Setting down her cup.

April fidgets slightly. "No... we haven't." She doesn't know how best to start explaining what happened.

Rain shakes his head. "Not completely, but I'm glad we came. It's an honor to meet you." He supposes some of this has to do with slayer related stuff as April is going to be his watcher but he really has NO business saying why April is here. He reaches over and pats April on the back reassuringly.

The pat on her back is reassuring. "Well, I guess the best place to start is... that I have decided to help Rain, by offering to be his Watcher."

"Aren't you a little too young for that?" Harley asked.

"Actually... I am older now. A lot older. I took the opportunity of some training from Vampire Masters at my school. And... well I was gone in their dimension for 800 years."

Rain really has NO idea what to add to that, if anything. He's more waiting for Harley's reaction. Will it be calm? Or will shit hit the fan? All he can add is.. "Your daughter is incredibly bright and was very mature even before she did this. She's been a blessing, really."

"And you know how uncomfortable it was for me... being so emotional and intelligently mature... and being stuck in a child's body."

Harley set down her cup. "It is not like I can change something that has already happened. Now is it?"

"I know you were uncomfortable. But I just wish you... you had not passed by childhood so quickly. I feel like I have missed so much of you growing up, April."

Rain looks uncomfortable, but he's here for April. What can he possibly say? It's not his place. He takes April's hand and gives it a squeeze, then he tugs it gently and stands up, pulling her to lean over the table a bit. He reaches for Harley's hand too, taking it without asking and touches the two together. "At least you didn't miss all that's left to come. Not everyone can say that."

Maybe if he can make Harley realize that there are many memories yet to be made, it won't bother her so.

Harley glances up at Rain when he moves her hand to April's. Then she looks at April as if adding something together. "So... you felt you needed your boyfriend here with you to tell me this?"

"Hes not really my boyfriend." April is flustered. Because there is no denying her attraction to Rain.

Rain blushes, getting a little flustered too and sitting back down and clearing his throat, and then there's the looking at his shoes and the wall and.. anywhere but April's mom.

"But there is an attraction between the both of you." Harley is quite comfortable stating the obvious. "I do hope you did not age yourself just to be with a guy."

"No... I..." April flustered. "I wanted to be the person who I was meant to be. And I have learned so much. And yes... I like Rain. Very much. But I want to help him become the person he was meant to be."

Rain looks up. He hopes that's not the reason she aged herself too. Then he gives April an inquisitive look. Person he was meant to be? Did she know something he didn't? Had they discussed this? Maybe she wasn't allowed to tell him certain things. He just sat and listened to the two until there was something he felt the need to interject about.

April is unable to explain more about what she means, even to her mother if Harley asked.

For a moment, there was just quiet. Then Harley asked, "Are you happy, April?"

"Yes. Mother." April takes Rain's hand. "And I have a wonderful opportunity to be a Watcher and change the world that my father and Uncle Angel both were trying to save."

Rain smiles when she takes his hand. "I'm sure she'll teach me well Ms. Quinn. You should be very proud of her."
