:( [more hugs] Sorry to hear that. Those kinds of fights are some of the worst.

Sorry I wasn't able to be here for you sooner. It's hard to go through this sort of thing alone. Just know that I'm thinking about you a lot, and wishing you the best.

Yeah. We're still working twelve hour days, and we keep having so many quality problems that we're getting further and further behind. We have to work the whole weekend again, second time in a row, so I'll be working three weeks without a day off. I really don't understand why they don't give us a day off while they sort out the quality problems (can't run production until it's fixed anyway), but we don't get any say, of course. I submitted a request to get my birthday off, but I have no guarantees that I'll get it.

Yeah, really long. And with driving time, I really only get about two hours a day to do anything at all (housework or whatever) before I have to go to bed. I've been staying up later than I should because I have so much to do once I get home.

Unfortunately there's no federal or state laws against working us like this. The only requirement is that they have to pay us 1.5 times our usual rate if we work more than 40 hours a week.

Yeah. Most of the time I just spend it at the computer because I'm too exhausted to do anything else except maybe throw something in the microwave for dinner. I want to eat healthier but I just don't have the time to cook real food. (And in more ironic circumstances, I seem to have insomnia, because I'm too tired to sleep sometimes.)

It's a little higher, nine dollars an hour (state minimum wage is 7.40, federal is 7.25 I think), but that's still not a lot. My coworkers have been trying to tell me that "at least the pay's good" but I honestly would be happy working 2-3 days a week. I don't care about having lots of money if I have no time to do anything.

I miss RPing too. I want to so badly.

I've toyed with the idea of quitting, but I hate leaving stuff half-finished, and I know that there's probably not a lot else out there where I'd even have a chance of getting hired. I don't have any time to look, let alone apply, but I really need to at least find some health insurance because right now I'm not covered by anything.

Nope. I'm only a temp, we have to buy our own, and it's expensive and has limited coverage (and limited availability). Full associates get the good stuff (as well as FAR better pay, $14 an hour).

Oh, same as us, really. They get permanent assignments to departments instead of going where they're needed like temps do, and if there's voluntary overtime they get first dibs if they want it. Also sometimes (not lately), temps get sent home early if we're caught up or production is stopped, while they have to stay for the whole time scheduled for that day.

You definitely help just by being understanding. :) I know it isn't easy sometimes.

And I'm here for you emotionally, even if I can't actually be at the computer as much as I'd like. :)

The plan is for one of the two lines I'm helping run to shut down permanently in December. Plans do change though, so I'm hoping to hold out until then (hopefully with a reduced workload if we can ever catch up) and then be able to move on to another job. I don't want to be on this line that long, especially if these hours keep up, but I have my fingers crossed. (I didn't even want to be on this line as long as I have; they told me a week when I first got assigned here, and it's been three months.)
