Trouble was coming. April's voices knew that... and the only way they could warn her in time to make things right was to take over her dreams.

At first, there is no immediate reaction in her slumbering body. But it won't take long for her to start to mumble in her sleep. Thrash slightly in reaction. Or tense up like something is happening... even though she is safe and sound in bed, beside her husband.

April reflects for a moment. "I think that is doable. I do have a nice green dress that will flow nicely on my body."

He kisses her, and rests a hand on her belly. "I won't ask you to help carry him. But we'll go in as a team, all of us together." It'll be the last time Hawkman is with the entire team, at least until he comes around again.

"Well thank you. I think the baby and I had a big day all ready." April leans into nuzzle against Clark's neck.

"And it isn't even noon yet." Not in this part of the world anyway.

"Hey. I didn't get my beauty sleep." April laughed.

[kalel_ofkrypton]

"If you want to get some more sleep, I don't think anyone would blame you."

[slayers_desire]

"You going to come to bed with me?" A soft purr as she lifts his shirt off him.

[kalel_ofkrypton]

The good thing about his boss being on the team is that she'll cut him more slack if he's late for work, or doesn't show up. "I think I can stay for a bit."

"That is all I ask." April kisses him soundly again. And takes his hand to guide him upstairs. She always sleeps better in his arms.

Clark won't sleep himself, but he'll stay with her, holding her until he's sure that she's sound asleep. And remains that way for a while, until he finally decides he should go to work.

He kisses her softly, so he won't wake her, and writes a short note to leave on the nightstand.

Went to work. Will be home early. You and the baby rest as much as you need.
