Timeline update for wedding plans
Well it is February in Clark and my shared dimension. And we are still planning to have the wedding in August. That is roughly six months.
According to a basic wedding calendar, we are on target with some things. Others not so much.
Announcing to family and friends √
Pick a wedding theme √
Options on ceremony and reception venues √
Determine how many people you want to invite √
Book a photographer √ (done but he is currently in the hospital)
Look at gown selections for bride √
shop for wedding ring √
Book a wedding planner x
Book a caterer/ Musician x
Meet with the officiant x
Mail save-the-date notices x
Delegate tasks to bridesmaids and maid of honor x
Register for wedding gifts x
Fit the gown, order dresses for the wedding party x
Print and mail the wedding invitations x
Plan the honeymoon x
Order the cake and arrange for delivery x
Write the wedding vows x
That is a few x's. And a lot of these should be done in person (like me talking to the friends I want standing at my side as bridesmaid.) I guess it is a good thing we are keeping our wedding simple because it could be twice as long with a more complicated ceremony. We don't have to reserve any wedding chapels or banquet halls as we planned on a farm wedding.
And just think it is only six months away (for me and Clark, less more than likely for the Nexus invitees). So... wow... nervous and excited and should get tackling some of these things.

Like the caterer, and musician, and cake. We haven't even talked about those!

As far as music goes, Pete's done a bit of DJing, and since his mom is officiating, maybe we could ask him to do our music when we meet with her? If he's home when we drop by, that is.

That would be great if Pete is willing. It is a farm ceremony, so we don't need anything too fancy.
Would it be a faux pax to have a pot luck?

I guess that solves the need for a caterer. But we should get on those invitations, so people know it will be pot luck. And we should go cake shopping.
