Today I don't feel like doing anything (Part One)
According to schedule, April had a couple of plans for her weekend. She had purchased kelvar to sew into her new Dark Oak costume, purchased design pads to start working on a yet-named costume for Clark, and had hit the Topeka library to learn about the community. All of this was in addition to her normal homework for the second semester of her second year at university. April had won prestigious honors at an art show last year, and wanted to challenge herself to win again this year with a better art piece.
However, an article in the Topeka newspaper caught April's attention. The front-page story told the woes of having all the historic artwork stolen from the Capitol building. And April was reminded of her failure going solo in the heroic business.
April set aside the paper and sunk to the comfort of the couch. Suddenly all her projects seemed not as interesting, as the young vampire just wanted to sit, relax and watch TV. She never noticed the flash of light in the corner of her apartment, or the ethereal shape that was watching her as both only lasted only a second. Instead her attention went to the TV... and the exciting drama that was being unfold on the newest line-up for the season.
