The invitations have been sent out, and now the party is ready for those that wish to attend. April has chosen a nice Nexus cafe for the setting of the party, a place where there is still anti-violence fields and no one will have to worry about LOL'd food. The Nexus environment also makes it easier to enjoy the party to the fullest, and the reason for the celebration -- that by working together a group of friends were able to defeat Zod.

There is a stage for those that want to entertain, either through karaoke or providing stand-up comedy. There is a variety of refreshments. Nice upbeat rock music. And places set up around the cafe for people to sit and enjoy each others company.

April herself is dressed for an evening of socialization and having fun. It is a style all of her own, especially since April sewed all the pieces of the outfit. She can't wait for her friends to show up, and hopes everyone has a good time.

Clark's still not feeling one hundred percent, but he's lots better and no longer in danger of blowing everything away. More the tail end of his head cold than anything else. So it's with much improved health and attitude that he shows up at this little shindig. "I've never had a we-saved-the-world party before."

"This is very true," he says with a smile, a gives her a quick kiss.

"I love the outfit by the way," he says. "I never know what I'm going to see you in."

Marty's the first to show up at the location. He notes the stage with interest -- hmmm, maybe he'll sing something later. Even after his years in Arcadia, he still likes getting up on the stage -- it just has to be on his terms, not anybody else's. The rest of the place looks pretty nice too. "Great set-up," he tells April. "The others will be along in a bit -- Doc's bringing Dee too, since she wants to see Clark, make sure he's okay." Poor little car/girl was all worried before.

"Awww poor Dee." April is sort of glad lots of people care for her boyfriend. "Thanks. There wasn't much to do."

"You're welcome -- it was nice of you to set up the party in the first place," Marty says. "We need more of this sort of thing."

"Exactly my reasoning. We all should be able to enjoy ourselves now and then."

And here come Victor and Alice, together as always. Alice smiles as she sees April with Marty. "Hello -- how are you doing?" she asks, curious. The last time she saw April, the girl had looked pretty exhausted, after all.

"I'm fine," Clark says, coming over to say hello. He does look a lot better, better rested and not ready to huff and puff and blow the house down.

"Clark!" Here, have a Dee attached to your legs. "I'm glad you're all right."

"Yeah, you look a lot better," Marty agrees, relieved. "No more hurricane sneezes?"

Ironically, as I was typing this, I sneezed like ten times.

Clark ruffles her hair, smiling. "Hey there." He's not sure what all they told her about what happened, but it was enough to have her worried, it seems.

"Nope, that's all over. I still feel a bit weird but I'm told that'll fix itself in a day or two."

Victor's cane today looks like it's sprouting little blue flowers from a vine, though the flowers are made from fabric, different shades, a work of art in its own right. She is wearing a big floppy blue hat, a blue-as-an-unclicked-link button up, and loose jeans. She glances from side to side.

Clark is sure to welcome her when she arrives. "Nice hat."

"I see your cane's nice and seasonal too," he adds, knowing by the look of it that she decorated it herself. "Come on, let's sit down and get something to drink. Coffee?"

Arthur has never been to a multiverse party, in fact he isn't even sure how he got here! But the invitation popped up in his book, so here he is.

He's not entirely sure of the etiquette of future!parties, but he's bought a gift.

Spotting the Prince, April comes over and gives him a hug. "Arthur! What a lovely surprise!"

Arthur's not used to spontaneous hugs! So he might look a bit embarrassed.

But he smiles. "Thank you for the invitation. It's nice to attend a feast that doesn't involve me having to make a speech." He laughs. "I don't have to make a speech I hope?"

"Nope no speeches. But there is a stage for those people that want to sing later. Marty and I are going to perform a song."

It doesn't take long for April to rally a couple of musicians to join her on stage. Marty on the guitar, Victor on the piano and April the main singer. But the guys will be providing backup too.

The song is a simple one, from the Beach Boys. But it is one that April will have fun with, because she is truly a 'California Girl'.

"Well East coast girls are hip. I really dig those styles they wear. And the Southern girls with the way they talk. They knock me out when I'm down there."

Marty's in his element on the stage, strumming along on this guitar and providing back-up vocals. Now this is what performing's all about -- getting a bunch of people to smile and sing along.

Victor's a little quieter on the piano, but he doesn't look nearly as nervous as he thought he'd be. The people around are mostly familiar and friendly faces, which really helps loosen him up. And it's kind of fun, trying his hand at a new song. He mostly plays classical pieces, though he's dabbled with adapting some of the modern music he's heard for his preferred instrument. This is rather new to him, but he's keeping up nicely.

Doc, Dee, and Alice are in the audience, offering their support through grins and -- for Dee, anyway -- bobbing along to the music.

Arthur is also in the audience, and quite confuzzled...This isn't anything at all like the singing he's used to. And that's a very strange lute.

All the same it's not as if it's horrible to listen to either. He'll applaud at the end with everyone else.

Finished her set, April is more than glad to make a round of introductions. "Guys, I want to introduce you to Arthur. He is Prince of Camelot. Some of you might have seen him around the Nexus."

"Arthur, this is Marty, Doc, Dee, Alice and Victor Van Dort." She will make introductions to Clark and Victor Allen when they make their way over.
