Right now in Smallville, April is experiencing a world of turmoil, after seeing Clark get shot, and feeling him lose strength and life because of his very human state of being. All she can think about is losing him...
And how her life would be empty without him.
Elsewhere, in the normally frozen time line of April's home dimension, things for a moment start to flow naturally. A Goddess of a woman, who had been slumbering on a large green rock embedded into the earth, opens her eyes.
"She is devestated." The Goddess smiles. Knowing that such raw emotions of tragedy are the ones best used against a person. "It is time."
And when the time line returns to its frozen state, as it does when April is not in her home universe, a very evil smile is frozen on the face of that Goddess. For she is one step closer to her goal.
