after one night of tending to a sick Slayer

For the most part, taking care of Rain through the night was not that difficult. All April had to do was mostly hold him. Wet his forehead when he got too hot. And make sure he got to the washroom if he was about to get sick. By the morning, Rain would be waking up feeling better. Feeling that the flu bug was gone.

April was still sleeping beside him. Her arm around his waist, as she held him close.

"It used to scare me, anyone biting me after.. you know. But I trust you. If you bit me.. or if I allowed you to feed from me... would you lose control?"

He shakes his head. "No, most women do. It's an incredibly sensitive body part and not easy to find if you don't know where to look."

"I might. Slayer blood is... like the best blood in the world to a vampire. Father told me of a time that Angel had to feed on Buffy... and almost killed her."

"Is there anything we can do... that would be your first?"

"You're half vampire though." he looks thoughtful.

He tries to think. "There must be SOMETHING I haven't done... but I'll be damned if I can think of what it might be at the moment. Mind you most of my blood is still in other extremities."

"That is true. And maybe one day I will trust myself to try something like that." April kissed him softly. "But I would never forgive myself if I hurt you."

Mun has more plot bunnies now

"It would be nice to be your first... in something."

"I wouldn't if I hurt you either." he admits.

"April, you already are. You're my first half-vampire, first Watcher, first Pet.."

She blushed at the last part. "And you are just my first. Though it is nice to know that at least we share something that is ours. Because... I like being your Pet."

"Hopefully your last, but that's not realistic. You'll live forever, I wont."

"I know you do. I'm looking forward to reversing the roles."

April hugged him tightly to her at the comment about him not lasting forever. This is nothing she can do to change that. "At least, you have Slayer aging. So you will live longer than normal. And I can... I can love you with all my heart while you are alive."

"Speaking of that... do you feel any of those desires?"

"That's true." He says, holding her tight but not adding that slayer aging won't do him any good when something finally gets lucky and takes him out.

"I do. The thought really turns me on."

Changing topics, because thinking of Rain dying is depressing to April, she smiles. "Oh. Well I think you better go see what is in the closet for you, Slayer."

He raised a brow, looking at her for a second before getting up and going to the closet.

On a hook just inside the closet is a studded collar. Big enough for Rain's neck. "Put it on." April said.

Rain grinned, taking the collar in his hand. "Yes ma'am." He put it around his neck and buckled it.

"There is a leash too. Attach it." April moved off the bed, removing the covers as she did.
