Take one week of training, add a dash of slaying
After their first night together at the new training center, April established a new schedule for Rain to maintain. For the next week, she was very insistent on certain things. He woke at 8 a.m., ate a healthy breakfast and then after a half-hour would start stretching exercises. From 9 a.m. to noon, Rain would go through a series of martial practices. One hour with a familiar weapon, one hour with an unfamiliar weapon, and one hour with two weapons.
At noon he was have lunch, and time enough to have a nap. At 2 p.m., he would be directed to the library to study for one hour, then from 3 to 5 p.m., he would return to the training center. He would be run through a multi-dimensional session, with April tracking how well he was doing (so he could break his own records in the future).
After a supper at 5 p.m., April would insist again on a nap, then when he woke at 7 p.m., to stretch before heading to his world. And to his job. The night would be spent protecting his city. Slaying. Of course, when he returned to the training center, by 4 a.m., April would get all the information on his performance. And give him a massage, and sent him to bed.
Some nights they would share a bed. Other nights, if he was too tired, they would take to their separate beds. The nights that they had enough energy to share passion, it was tender and wouldn't extend Rain's energy.
By the end of the week, judging from Rain's scores on the training missions, and his increasing accomplishments in the field, April knew he was ready for something stronger than a mere vampire. And from some investigating, she discovered a low-level demon that was creating troubles for some innocents in Rain's neck of the woods.
So when it came to just before night, this time April brought Rain to a table that had several occult items laying on it. "Okay Rain, tonight you have to deal with a Der Kindestod. The name means "child death" and it feeds off of children by sucking the life out of them. He has been affecting a Children's Hospital nearby your city."
"One of the difficulties is that the Der Kindestod is invisible to all adults and can only be seen by children, madmen and the feverishly ill. His eyeballs extend and latch onto people, leeching their life force." April bit at her bottom lip, looking up at Rain, "For you to fight him, I am going to have to make you sick."

Lifting Rain into her arms, April returned him back to their training centre. Taking him to his bed, to lay down. Where she started to wash him from the blood, puke and sweat from his body with a damp cloth.

As she washes him, he shivers occasionally. Still out like a light but his body reacting to the sickness. After awhile his eyes open, searching the room. Where was he? He hadn't been in the new home long enough to recognize his room at a glance when delusional.
"Mom?" he groaned, out of it.

"April? What happened? I remember dumping the body and then nothing."
