Rain heard the satisfying crack. He waited a second just to make sure. "Yeah kids.. it won't be bothering you again. Get back to bed ok?" he said, taking the creature's sleeve and wiping the blood from his face before rolling it off him. He dragged the creature a few feet down the hall and heaved the body into the garbage chute. He staggered back down the hall to the children's room, holding onto the wall as his head swam. He took a couple steps into the room and fell to the floor, unconscious.
