a long day enhancing her combat skills
With sore muscles and a yawn, April returned to her apartment in Kansas City. Her movements slowly removed her running shoes and threw them into the corner. And while she just wanted to lie down and drop into an exhausted sleep... she was sweaty and desperately needed a shower first.
April couldn't remember what she had been thinking when she asked Buffy to train her. It had sounded like such a good idea when it had been discussed with Spike.
But after three hours of combat training with the skilled Slayer, April was completely exhausted.
After showering and getting cleaned up, April gave a soft sigh as her muscles protested while she dressed for the evening. Then she flopped onto the bed, laying on her stomach, and managed to reach over to dim the lights. It had been a long day. She just wanted to close her eyes for a second and try to recover from it.
