dealing with a LOL hangover

For the last seven days, April had been reveling in life. Under a personality-altered LOL, her vampiric side had been in full control and enjoying all the opportunities to assert herself. That included long nights of dancing and nightclub hopping, flirting with strangers, flirting with danger, and testing her abilities to their fullest.

As the vampire, all this had been done with any morals or conscience.

Waking up as herself the first morning after the LOL was finally gone, it all came back to her. Hard and fast. Every word. Every moment.

Sitting up in bed, April placed her head in her hands. Her head ached as it should for consuming a large amount of alcohol (even though she didn't get drunk and didn't have normal hangovers). Flashes of everything that happened started to get filtered by her brain. With pains of guilt after wards.

She would have to ensure that her friendships with Connor and Prince Arthur weren't damaged because of the actions of the vampire. But the thing that concerned her the most was remembering her interaction with Clark, who had been in his Kal-El persona. The fact that the both of them had been under different personas clued her to the knowledge that perhaps a LOL was behind the whole ordeal.

It was troubling to remember all the words exchanged between herself and Clark during their persona changes. Even more so that the vampire had considered the relationship at an end after all was said and done. And had gone out to party as any single woman should have the rights to do.

It was also troubling to remember that she had left him there... remaining as Kal-El and allowing the opportunity for that persona to effect those he loved in Smallville. Her heart heavy, she headed for the Nexus to determine how much damage this particular LOL had done for the both of them.
